====== Memory Reset / RAM Clear ====== ~~NOTOC~~ There seems to be no official name for this handy technique that kills running apps and clears RAM (memory). This often fixes mis-behaving audio and MIDI apps and is quicker than powering down or forcing a completely restart. It is useful to do before starting a music session or if you run into problems that might be caused by memory leaks or zombies. **See also**: [[Hard and Soft Reset]] ==== Instructions for Devices with Home Button ==== * Long-press the power button until you are presented with the screen that says "slide to power off". * Long-press the home button until the "slide to power off" screen is dismissed. ==== Instructions for Devices without Physical Home Button ==== - **Create a virtual Home button** using AssistiveTouch: Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch and turn AssistiveTouch on.
